a DIY decoration for a birthday party

There are many different things that you can do to decorate your house for a birthday party. You can use balloons, streamers, and even homemade decorations. Many people think that they have to hire someone or it has to be expensive for the decorations at their party to look nice. This is not true!

There are many easy ways to make your decorations at home without spending too much money! Read on below for examples of how you can easily decorate your house with items from around the house – saving yourself time and money!

Balloon Wreath

The first decoration that you can make is a balloon wreath. All you need to do is blow up several different colored balloons and tie them all together with a ribbon. In the middle of the big bunch of balloons, you could add a small present wrapped in wrapping paper – or even just some birthday candles!

Colored Streamers

To make your decorations look nice, you should always think about the color scheme that will tie your decorations together. One cheap way of doing this is by using different colored streamers! You can attach them to anything – especially if it’s helium balloons or even just bits of string.

Flowers

You could go into your garden or even just on your balcony and pick up flowers – daisies work best for this sort of decoration! They will brighten up any room. If you have fresh flowers in your house, they can add a special touch to the birthday party, and you won’t have to spend any money on them!

Banners

You can make a banner out of construction paper and some markers. To do this, print off an invitation (in whatever color you want) and write the words “Happy Birthday” or your child’s name. Then, write a message that you want to show off (i.e., “Let’s Party” or “Join us as we Celebrate”). After that, cut out the letters and glue them onto a piece of construction paper. Hang it up with tape!

Table Decorations

You can make your own table settings for your guests by using aluminum foil, paper plates, napkins, and plastic utensils. You can write the guest’s name on the plates using colorful markers.

Signs

Making your own signs is simple and can be done by anyone! You can paint a piece of cardboard or poster board and write what you want on it. This is a great way to add decorations while remaining low cost and simple to make.
